Negotiations Seminar Mexico City, May 2017
Outstanding support from ASPA de Mexico regarding location and venue, and from ALPA-I with respect to providing instructors, enabled IFALPA
to offer its well-known Negotiations Seminar specifically to the CAR-SAM Region in Mexico City from 23-25 May 2017.
Participants from Mexico, Panama, and Peru were joined by colleagues from Canada, Hong Kong, New Zealand and IFALPA, to be introduced to
the negotiations process, the systematics and tactics of bargaining and many other details, in order to gain and improve their skills in advocating
and bargaining effectively.
Combining decades of expertise and negotiation skills, the team of instructors - Ken Cooper, Rick Dominguez, Jim van Sickle, Andrew Shostack
and Sebastián Currás Barrios - laid the theoretical foundation over the first two seminar days before the participants split into parallel groups on
day 3 for an intensive live simulation over several hours, closely observed and guided by the instructors.
The Negotiations Seminar is an integral part of IFALPA’s mission to provide service and support to its Member Associations.
