Visits to IFALPA HQ

A delegation from the Qatar Aeronautical College, led by Director
General H.E. Jabor Bin Hamad Mohammed Al-Thani, paid a visit to
IFALPA’s Montreal Headquarters in July. The group received a briefing
on IFALPA by Managing Director Christoph Schewe. Possibilities
regarding future cooperation were discussed.
In August, as part of familiarizing herself with the over 60
international organizations based in Montreal, the Minister of
International Relations and La Francophonie of Quebec, Mrs. Christine
St-Pierre, paid an official visited to IFALPA.

IFALPA President Captain Martin Chalk welcomed Mrs. St-Pierre via
live video from London before Mr. Schewe, together with the Technical
Director and Representative to ICAO, Captain Mike Jackson, briefed the
Minister on IFALPA’s mission, history, organization, and main activities.
The Minister showed great interest in IFALPA’s work and offered
support for the upcoming IFALPA annual Conference in Montreal in May
2017. Additional discussion focused on strategies to raise public awareness
of the Federation, IFALPA’s interest in attracting international employees,
and our status and privileges as an international organization.
We anticipate more exciting visits in the months to come and look
forward to the opportunity for partnership and communication, both
locally and globally.
